Apstec Systems, a global provider of AI-driven solutions for advanced people security screening, announced the appointment of Daniel Holtsjö as Vice President of Business Development, APAC, with effect from 15 January 2026. In this role, Daniel will lead Apstec’s commercial expansion and partner development across the Asia-Pacific region, a key strategic growth market for the company.

Daniel is a seasoned security executive with more than 25 years of international experience in senior operational and commercial leadership roles. He brings deep expertise in market building, regulatory and compliance frameworks, and operational execution, enabling the translation of advanced security technology into scalable, real-world solutions.

Prior to joining Apstec Systems, Daniel served as Country President for Securitas in China, Cambodia, and Thailand. Most notably, he led the transformation of the Shanghai operation, successfully navigating complex regulatory environments and scaling the business into a market-leading position. He has also worked with Safehotels, focusing on international compliance, risk management, and security standards.

Daniel is a respected member of the APAC security community. He serves as a Board Member of ASIS International APAC and Vice Chairman of the ASIS Thailand Chapter, and holds certifications as a Certified Security Manager (CSM) and Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CATS). His professional background includes service as a Military Police officer in the Swedish Armed Forces, specialising in high-risk protection.
