Suprema Showcases AI-Powered Biometric Innovations at Intersec 2026

Suprema, a global provider of AI-powered access control and security solutions, showcased its latest innovations in AI-driven access control hardware along with a clear dual-platform strategy supporting both on-premise and cloud-based access management at Intersec 2026.

At Intersec, Suprema’s booth highlighted a new generation of AI-enhanced access control hardware, featuring devices engineered to deliver higher performance, greater accuracy, and enhanced deployment flexibility at scale.

ioStation 3 Max builds on the success of BioStation 3, Suprema’s fastest-selling biometric terminal to date. Designed for high-security, high-traffic environments, BioStation 3 Max incorporates an enhanced neural processing engine that delivers ultra-fast, highly accurate AI-based facial authentication, even under challenging conditions. Featuring a large touchscreen display and an integrated VoIP intercom, BioStation 3 Max is well suited for verification workflows at sensitive entry points, including corporate headquarters, data centers, and advanced manufacturing facilities.

BioStation 3 Max becomes Suprema’s new flagship facial authentication terminal, replacing the FaceStation F2. It also introduces Power over Ethernet (PoE), one of the most frequently requested features from customers in the Middle East, simplifying installation while reducing infrastructure and deployment costs.

XPass Q2 is an intelligent QR reader that also supports a broad range of RFID card types and formats. It is designed to address two primary use cases. First, XPass Q2 accelerates access in high-traffic facilities where visitors authenticate using QR codes, helping to reduce congestion at entry points. Second, it enables fast, reliable ticket authentication for venues such as events, stadiums, and public facilities. Built for speed, XPass Q2 delivers rapid authentication to minimize bottlenecks even during peak entry periods. Its compact form factor enables quick deployment, while its rugged construction ensures dependable operation in demanding, high-traffic environments.

For the first time at Intersec, Suprema also previewed two complete access control platforms designed to fully unlock the power of its biometric technology. Both platforms are planned for official launch in the first half of 2026.

BioStar X delivers a unified, on-premise access control solution, while BioStar Air is a cloud-native platform ideally suited for distributed sites. Both platforms support the same biometric, RFID, and mobile-ready hardware, enabling customers to select the deployment model that best aligns with their operational, regulatory, and IT requirements—without compromise.

BioStar X is Suprema’s unified security platform, combining access control, video surveillance, and extensive third-party integrations within a single system. Designed to scale from small installations to large, multi-site deployments, it consistently delivers a high-performance user experience when paired with Suprema’s advanced biometric readers. A unified monitoring console provides real-time visibility into access events and video streams via interactive maps, accelerating incident response and improving day-to-day operational efficiency. AI-driven enhancements add advanced video intelligence and automation, including detection of fall incidents, tailgating, and intrusion.

BioStar Air is a fully cloud-native access control platform that connects Suprema’s industry-leading biometric technology directly to the cloud. With no on-premise servers to deploy or maintain, new readers, even across multiple locations, can be added simply by connecting them to the network. For customers in the Gulf region, BioStar Air offers two key advantages. It strengthens trust in cloud-based time and attendance systems by seamlessly integrating them with biometric access control. In addition, BioStar Air includes secure mobile credentials as a standard feature, with no per-user licensing fees, making it easy to scale access without hidden costs.

Suprema also highlighted Q-Vision Pro, a video analytics AI module designed to help prevent financial crime.

“We introduced our latest technologies at Intersec because the Middle East consistently leads the adoption of biometrics, AI, and mobile access,” said Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema Inc. “Those trends align directly with Suprema’s strengths, making this region a natural showcase for where access control is heading next.”
