Antar Cranes Services Pte Ltd has announced the arrival of Zoomlion ZCC850V-1EV electric crawler crane in Singapore, available for the local market. Delivering zero emissions and low noise levels, this new model is suitable for use in urban areas, especially on projects with high environmental protection requirements.

\n\n

The ZCC850V-1EV is powered by a 166.3-kWh, 550-V battery pack, which is capable of running for about eight hours or more when fully charged, depending on the application. The charging time is approximately 1.5 hours using a 100 kW charger (optional), and 4.5 hours with a 40 kW charger.

\n\n

According to Zoomlion, the ZCC850V-1EV is the world’s first fully electric crawler crane, featuring a Li-ion battery that can be charged up to 3,000 times and lasts for more than 10 years. The machine can also work while being charged.

\n\n

The newly designed operator cab is fitted with an air-suspension seat, a working light and rear-view mirrors that give excellent visibility of the jobsite. The noise level inside the cab is below 65 dB, increasing operator comfort.

\n\n

The ZCC850V-1EV has a boom length of 13-61 m, fixed jib length of 7-19 m, maximum lifting capacity of 85 t and maximum lifting moment of 363 tm. The travelling speed is up to 1.4 km/hr, with a gradeability of 30%. The crane also provides a ground pressure of 0.088 MPa and maximum slewing speed of 2.4 rpm.

\n\n

Another highlight of the ZCC850V-1EV is its high energy efficiency, revealed Zoomlion. The crane’s direct drive system minimises power consumption, which is around 15 kWh per hour. This is achieved through a technology that reuses kinetic energy from the winch to charge while working.

\n\n

Furthermore, the ZCC850V-1EV requires lower maintenance compared to its diesel counterpart, thus reducing operating costs for the customers. For easy control, the crane’s micro-inching system has been improved, resulting in significantly enhanced positioning accuracy.

\n\n

The single rope speed of H1 and H2 can reach up to 142 m/min, and the optional free-fall winch helps improve the efficiency of hoisting operations. The ZCC850V-1EV is also equipped with various safety functions. The main boom angle and load capacity can be automatically detected by the load moment limiter to ensure that the crane does not overload.

\n\n

Antar Cranes Services Pte Ltd has handed over three units of Zoomlion ZAT2500V to Denzai Huationg Pte Ltd (one unit) and Peck Tiong Choon Leasing Pte Ltd (two units) in September and October respectively.

\n\n

The ZAT2500V is a five-axle, 250-t-capacity all-terrain crane with a main boom length of 88 m, which is said to be the longest in its class. There is also an optional fixed jib of up to 33.5 m to increase the total boom length to 115.5 m.

\n\n

According to Antar Cranes, the three units acquired by Denzai Huationg and Peck Tiong Choon are the first three Zoomlion ZAT2500V cranes in Singapore. “This model will meet the demand from our customers for a new 250-t all-terrain crane that can replace their older unit,” said Andrew Tan, general manager of Antar Cranes.

\n\n

“Many of our customers in Singapore require cranes that are less than 15 years old, especially for use on LTA and HDB projects.”

\n\n

Mr Tan added, “Another benefit of the ZAT2500V is its long boom. The crane can carry out a variety of tasks without the need to install an additional jib, thus reducing logistics and manpower requirements.”

\n\n

With a small outrigger width of 8.3 m, the ZAT2500V is also highly versatile and can be easily deployed on restricted jobsites. Plus, the crane has the option to place its counterweights in two different positions: the front position is suitable for operations in a tight space, while the rear position allows the crane to provide a better lifting capacity.

\n\n

For further ease of operation, the ZAT2500V is equipped with an automatic telescopic system, which enables the operator to select the boom length automatically via a screen panel. All the machine’s functions are displayed on a 10.4-in, two-in-one LCD (touch screen) panel, which is designed to be user friendly. The cab can be tilted by 0-20° to improve the operator’s field of vision and reduce fatigue.

\n\n

In addition, the Zoomlion ZAT2500V has a central lubricating system for the superstructure and the chassis. All the lubricating points are automatically supplied with the correct grease quantity for prolonged crane service life and easy maintenance.

\n\n

By adopting the CAN Bus technology, the superstructure and the chassis can monitor the outrigger pressures and the tilting angle of the chassis frame in real time to ensure a safe operation. Several encoders and sensors are also available to help keep track of the machine in real time, enhancing efficiency and safety.

\n\n

As more projects are taking place across Singapore, more cranes will be needed to support contractors in delivering their jobs. Mr Tan pointed out, “The local construction industry will be busy for a while, at least in the next three to five years, with a number of major projects currently ongoing – such as the Cross Island Line (CRL), Jurong Region Line (JRL) and North-South Corridor (NSC) by LTA, public housing projects by HDB, and various private developments.”

\n\n

Mr Tan said that in general, the future of Southeast Asia’s construction industry is looking positive. “A wide range of infrastructure developments are being implemented throughout the region, including airport projects in Vietnam, highway projects in Thailand, wind power projects in the Philippines and Thailand, the Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link, as well as the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and MRT projects in Malaysia, to name just a few.”

Antar Cranes Services Pte Ltd recently delivered a new Zoomlion ZTC600R562 to Singapore company Builders Hub Pte Ltd. This 60-t truck crane is designed with a five section, U-shaped 11.6 m – 45 m main boom as well as a 14.6-m fly jib that can be offset at three different angles (5°, 25° and 45°). The jib’s maximum lifting height is 61.5 m.

\n\n

The ZTC600R562 has been approved for use on Singapore road, equipped with a Weichai Euro 6 engine to meet the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) requirement. The engine delivers 247 kW of power.

\n\n

“One of the most notable features that impressed Lawrence Lee, project director of Builders Hub Pte Ltd, is the crane’s maximum boom length of 45 m, which is one of the longest in its class,” explained Antar Cranes.

\n\n

“With an outrigger span of 7.10 m wide, this model is also suitable for Singapore jobsites where parking space for cranes is always an issue due to restricted working areas,” added Mr Lee.

\n\n

The Zoomlion ZTC600R562 is capable of a maximum drive speed of 60 km/hr, gradeability of 47% and minimum ground clearance of 0.285 m. The crane’s tail slewing radius is 3.93 m.

\n\n

The ZTC600R562 features a total length of 13.95 m, width of 2.8 m and height of 3.71 m. The crane provides a maximum counterweight of 11 t with a hydraulic ballast system, high slewing speed of 22 rpm and high hoisting speed of 125 m/min.

\n\n

For operator comfort, the spacious cab can be tilted by up to 20° and is fitted with both air conditioning and heating systems plus USB ports.

\n\n

“By delivering this crane, we hope to assist Builders Hub to increase efficiency in all their projects, as well as to secure more projects in the future,” said Antar Cranes.

Antar Cranes Services Pte Ltd now offers the Zoomlion ZTC600R562 for customers in Singapore.
