The Fayat Group has completed its acquisition of Dynapac, the road construction equipment division of Atlas Copco. The purchase agreement includes sales and services operations in 37 countries, production units in four countries – Sweden, Germany, Brazil and China - and a production partnership in India. Dynapac has 1,280 employees and revenues of approximately €309 million in 2016.
Through this acquisition, Fayat further strengthens its strategic position in the road construction and maintenance equipment segment. Being a family owned business with many years of experience in the road construction and maintenance machinery business, Fayat will provide Dynapac with the backing to be a stable and long-term reliable partner for its customers worldwide.
Under the Fayat umbrella, Dynapac will continue to operate as an autonomous manufacturer, producing rollers for asphalt and soil applications, pavers and planers. In the development of some future technologies, Dynapac is also expected to cooperate with other companies within the Fayat Group.
“This acquisition is a great opportunity for the Fayat Group and its customers, as Dynapac is a key player in the road construction equipment market with a highly recognised brand,” said Jean-Claude Fayat, president of the Fayat Group. “Dynapac has an excellent strategic place in our group and we plan on growing and expanding its presence and product offering. We will leverage its expertise and technologies together with our existing portfolio to continuously develop equipment.”
