CICEE exhibition expands into SE Asia, to be held in Malaysia on 29 Nov-1 Dec 2023

Building on its success in China, the CICEE exhibition is now entering Southeast Asia. The first event will be held from 29 November to 1 December 2023 at MITEC, Malaysia.

CICEE SEA aims to facilitate business connections in the Southeast Asia region, as well as promote the global reach of China’s construction and mining equipment and technologies.

In addition to showcasing a wide range of innovative machines, equipment and technologies, CICEE SEA will feature several on-site activities.

The introduction of CICEE SEA represents an important milestone in the event’s expansion into the Southeast Asian construction and mining machinery markets.

Malaysia event CICEE SEA CICEE SEA 2023

The inaugural CICEE Southeast Asia sub-exhibition (CICEE SEA) is set to take place from 29 November to 1 December 2023 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This move signifies an important milestone in the event’s expansion into the Southeast Asian construction and mining machinery markets.

CICEE (Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition) is a major biennial construction equipment exhibition in Changsha, Hunan province, China. It is jointly organised by the China Machinery Industry Federation, China Construction Machinery Society and Changsha Municipal People’s Government. The event covers 300,000 sq m of exhibition area, and its last edition – held in May 2023 – drew about 1,502 exhibitors and more than 300,000 visitors from around the world.

Building on its success in China, CICEE is now entering Southeast Asia to facilitate business connections in the region as well as expand the global reach of Chinese construction and mining equipment and technologies.

According to CICEE SEA’s organisers, Malaysia offers “a strategic geographic location, thriving construction and mining sectors, government support for foreign investments, a stable economic environment, skilled workforce, and cultural affinity with neighbouring nations,” making the country an “attractive destination for market penetration and growth. These factors also position Malaysia as a promising hub for the high-quality development of the construction and mining machinery sectors.”

CICEE SEA will showcase a wide range of innovative machines, equipment and technologies for the construction and mining industries. The organisers said several on-site activities will also be available, including a panel discussion concentrating on advanced manufacturing within the construction and mining sectors, and the Southeast Asia Investment Summit for the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Chain, led by industry professionals.
