Global engineering, design and advisory company, Aurecon, has appointed Jasmin Abad Lock as its principal for Infrastructure Advisory, with effect from 3 August 2020. Based in Hong Kong with experience across Hong Kong, China and Southeast Asia, Ms Lock will work closely with Aurecon’s Infrastructure, Buildings and Energy teams to grow the company’s Infrastructure Advisory services in the wider Asia region.

In her new role, Ms Lock will help clients identify and articulate clear strategies to manage risks, maximise investment opportunities, introduce technology to drive productivity, structure financing and commercial options and help develop the implementation of infrastructure programmes and related land and property development.
Ms Lock started her career as an architect in 1995 and has worked as a consultant in the public and private sectors, including the World Bank and ALMEC Corporation, advising on strategic, urban, and land use planning, financial, and techno-economic aspects of infrastructure development.
Over her 20-year consulting career, Ms Lock has also led or participated in major infrastructure advisory projects in Asia across various markets such as transportation, smart cities, new central business districts and mixed-used developments, tourism destinations, and leisure attractions. These include the Macao Tourism Industry Master Plan, Pattaya Utapao International Airport, HKIA North Commercial District Study and Program Recommendations, and the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Projects.

Prior to joining Aurecon, Ms Lock was a principal at TBH, a specialist planning, lenders’ technical assistance, and project management consultancy. Prior to that, she was associate director for design, planning and economics for global engineering firm AECOM.
