The world’s largest building decoration and interior products exhibition, China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair (CBD Fair), held a successful roadshow for ASEAN markets in early March. The itinerary, planned and managed by Furniture & Furnishing Export International, saw a team of three CBD Fair company executives visit the Southeast Asian cities of Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Bangkok over nine days from 3–10 March 2025.

With the objectives of creating awareness of the forthcoming CBD fair, getting acquainted with key stakeholders in the sector, and exploring possible collaborations, the delegation received warm receptions from the many key industry organisations met during their tour.

These included leading companies and apex national associations in sectors such as interior design, architecture, furniture and furnishing, building material, interior product trade, and other related industries.

The roadshow ended with a well-attended promotional conference held on 10 March 2025 at the S31 Sukhumvit hotel in Bangkok, with participation including nearly 90 trade professionals in the business and the heads of the countries’ top trade associations.

Sombat Ng, a renowned Thai interior designer who has big international brands such as Google, Facebook, Airbnb and Walt Disney amongst his clientele, was invited to give a keynote presentation entitled, “The Future Of Hospitality And Workplace Design: Blurring The Lines Between Work and Leisure”.

CBD Fair 2025 will take place from 8–11 July 2025 at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Guangzhou, China. The world’s leading building decoration and interior products exhibition expands 400,000 square metres of exhibition area, more than 2000 exhibitors and over 200,000 visitors.

The fair covers product categories such as doors and windows, lighting options, flooring, wall coverings, bathroom and sanitary wares, smart homes, furniture and furnishings, materials, hardware and machinery, and more.
