HONG KONG & SINGAPORE—On 20 January 2024, the global multi-disciplinary engineering firm Cundall announced the promotion of Joe Tang to Partner, further enhancing the company’s global leadership team.
Based in Hong Kong, Joe has been instrumental in driving Cundall’s success in the Asian market, and his promotion reflects the company’s commitment to fostering talent and innovation within its group.
Joe joined Cundall as a Senior Engineer in 2011 and advanced through the ranks with his dedication to delivering high-quality projects and exceptional leadership skills. Over 14 years, Joe has led numerous high-profile projects, significantly contributing to Cundall’s reputation for excellence in critical systems and building retrofits, as well as expanding the scale of multi-disciplinary services in the region. As a Partner, Joe will continue to inspire the team and drive Cundall’s mission of providing sustainable and innovative engineering solutions to their clients.
Zsolt Krisztian David has also been appointed as the new Building Services Technical Director in Singapore. Bringing a wealth of experience in delivering projects for science and technology clients, he will play a key role in boosting Cundall’s technical capabilities and service offerings in this sector. His appointment will be vital in pushing forward holistic design solutions that address the growing demand in the region.
Cundall is also delighted to announce the appointment of three new Associate Directors: Michael Wong, Kevin Wang, and Byeonghee Yun. Each of these talented individuals brings unique expertise and a strong track record in their respective fields.
Michael will be working with Joe Tang to lead the building services engineering team in Hong Kong, leveraging his extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary international projects and delivering successful outcomes to clients. Kevin and Byeonghee will be supporting Dong Chen, Partner, in the continued expansion of Cundall’s structural engineering offering. Kevin’s background in complex structural design will bolster the team’s capabilities, while Byeonghee will focus on enhancing Cundall’s service offering in Korea, ensuring the continued provision of world-leading engineering services in the region.
Cundall has experienced significant growth in Asia in recent years. Numerous key projects across the region are not only indicative of Cundall’s capabilities, but also help build lasting relationships with clients.
Notable projects include the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Cross Street Exchange in Singapore, Project SGA, Zhuhai Banzhang Mountain Bridge in China, DFS Global Energy Conservation across APAC, and the CIC Sustainable Finance Certification Scheme in Hong Kong.
